The matriarch of a notorious crime family has admitted trying to smuggle a Sim card into her son at a prison in Devon.
Mary Broadway was visiting her son Rocky, aged 32, who was serving a seven year term at Channings Wood, near Newton Abbot, for a series of burglaries at farms around Somerset.
Mary, aged 57, of Clubbards Cross, is also the mother of Charlie Broadway, who was jailed for life for shooting dead neighbour Wilf Isaacs last year.
