Yeovil's police station will remain open for the next 18 months, the force has confirmed today (March 29).
Avon and Somerset Constabulary has also confirmed that the custody suite will close on Monday, April 3, leaving the town without any permanent custody suites.
However, the station that was earmarked for closure by Police and Crime Commissioner, Sue Mountstevens, will remain open for at least 18 months.
