A CHEDDAR man has been accused of indecently assaulting an eight-year-old boy.
Lawrence Smith, 69, of Lower North Street, pleaded not guilty a Taunton Crown Court to two charges of indecent assault on a male person between April 1st 1990 and February 1st 1992.
Iain Dixey, prosecuting, said the trial would last about three days and involve about seven witnesses.
Recorder Richard Smith QC adjourned the case for trial on a date to be fixed and the accused was released on unconditional bail.
