A fed-up TV fan rang 999 because they couldn't get their remote control to work and wanted SUBTITLES.
The call was revealed by Avon and Somerset police on Twitter as part of its campaign to slash the number of hoax callers - under hashtag #dontcall999.
Another unnamed caller phoned in following a row with Argos over a faulty oven.
Police say the misuse of the 999 system takes officers away from urgent situations where emergency services are needed most.
