Wedmore man found with cannabis after arrest for other offences
A WEDMORE man who was found by police in possession of cannabis was also on a community order and subject to a conditional discharge for other offences.
When Mark John Darbo appeared before Somerset Magistrates they were told that he had been arrested for a separate matter but when officers searched him found a small amount of the class B drug in his jacket pocket.

Bristol man in court after 'making threats during Boxing Day...
A Boxing Day argument has landed a Bristol man in court charged with harassment and making threats to kill.
Sahin Kalil, of Southmead Road in Southmead, allegedly told family members of his former partner that he would kill her and cut off her head during an argument between the pair on Boxing Day.
Kalil denies the charges.
He is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on January 7.

Sedgemoor District Council's CCTV department monitors 145 CCTV cameras across Sedgemoor and the two neighbouring authorities of Taunton Deane and South Somerset.
In addition to this the authority also have a number of dedicated Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras.
During 2015 Sedgemoor's CCTV team dealt with 3850 incidents resulting in 1060 people being arrested.

Operation Tonic: Somerset drink/drug driving results 2015
Road safety officers say they are disappointed at the increased number of people caught drink or drug driving over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
A total of 155 people were arrested on suspicion of drink/drug driving offences compared with 106 in December 2014. Of those, 96 were charged compared with 59 during December 2014.
